Why Ballpoint Pen stains are tricky

Ink is a pigment or dye suspended in a polymer resin or oil binder that polymerizes and cures as it dries onto fibers.

How to prevent Ballpoint Pen stains

Store ballpoint pens horizontally or nib-up to prevent ink pooling. If a pen leaks in a bag, rubbing alcohol on the lining immediately dissolves the ink before it spreads. Apply ink remover or rubbing alcohol before washing.
