Why Blood stains are tricky

Protein stains contain amino acid chains that denature and coagulate above 40°C, permanently cross-linking with fabric fibers — which makes cold water the single most critical first step.

How to prevent Blood stains

Keep cuts covered before touching fabric. Treat blood stains with cold water before any other step — hot water immediately sets blood permanently. Enzyme detergent works on both fresh and set blood stains if soaked for enough time.
